Hello, my name is Alex Carbonero. I am a professional technical
artist
with 12 years experience in the entertainment industry. I started
my
career as a 2d Coloring artist working for Wildstorm Image
Comics. Since
then I've worked for a variety of studios as a visual affects artist
and
technical artist for tv, films, and games. As an effects artist I
was
introduced to scripting and programming, and I've now been writing
script and
plugins for over 4 years. I taught my self C++, Linear Algebra, and
some
Calculus. Because my current job requirements are often more
programming than
art I've have decided to get my Computer Science degree from NYIT
online. Today
my focus is primarily writing shaders in HLSL, writing scripts and
plugins as
needed for Maya and Max, writing Shader Expression for Unreal, etc.
However, I
really enjoy creating art content and I am more than happy to apply my
art
skills when the production pipeline allows.
